Ellen’s our fiddle player from the North East of Scotland. She developed her skills on both fiddle and piano, inspired by her well-known tutors from the area of Moray, James Alexander MBE, and Marjorie Park. Through her teenage years, Ellen was performing regularly as a member of the Fochabers Fiddlers with whom she performed at a variety of venues including the Royal Albert Hall on two separate occasions. She then went on to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she graduated with a BEd Music with honours in 2016. Throughout her student years, her performing and arranging skills continued to evolve influenced by some of Scotland’s leading traditional musicians and tutors, such as, Alistair McCulloch, Marie Fielding and James Ross. She is also a co - producer of a series of charity concerts, incorporating some of the finest musicians from the Guildhall School of Music in London.
